MAC Pret A Papier Swatches : Peachy Goodness

I got a few things from Pret A Papier. I was set on skipping this collection until I saw swatches on Karla Sugar's Arm. I love neutrals and peaches, so I agonized for a couple days over what to order. I think I did well in not ordering any dupes of things I already own. The blush and lipstick are my absolute favorite! I will be wearing these a lot this summer. On to my pictures :



Instant Chic is a Sheertone blush, so it is very light and buildable. It is a beautiful coral without too much pink and without any shimmer.




I have mixed feelings about Gazette Grey. It is a unique brownish grey with golden shimmer. It tends to be a bit sheer, but I have yet to test it over a base.



Dressmaker, Dressmaker is a everything I wanted a light peach to be! Very pigmented and smooth, this is a perfect balance between coral and nude.



Coral Crepe is a melon colored base with a slight sheen. It will be interesting to try this with purples and golds.

Green Hussy FOTD

Okay, not me looking like a Hussy (or maybe so), but the name of my new blush! I will have to write a review and take pictures, I am loving Illamasqua Hussy.

It's always good when a long time want does not disappoint! I recently got Chanel In Love Joues Contrast Blush. I had lusted over it for awhile, and it delivers! Nice peachy glow just in time for Spring :)

More Chanel in the Hizzy

After my recent Chanel order with a sample of Cambon Rouge Coco, it was quite evident that I needed this lipstick. I got a card with a nice offer too- now through April 30th you get free shipping and a mini Legende Rouge Coco with any order over $85 on Chanel.com (0310rougecoco). I can do that..... In Love Joues Contrast Blush has been on my wish list for quite some time, and I loved swatches I saw of Bikini Peach Glossimer.

What's this?

Check out the mini shopping bag my "free" Rouge Coco came in! I also got two "free" samples - a mini mascara and the four samples of Rouge Coco. I put free in quotes because I am sure that somewhere in the outrageously priced makeup you see, I paid for these samples. But nice anyway :)

In Love, Bikini Peach, Cambon, Legende :

Here are my closest comparisons. I was worried Deep Throat would be close, but it is much pinker in real life. Fleurry is frostier and lighter. Cantaloupe is definitely not even close.


These turned out terrible, but you can see Cambon is an intense pinky red. Cyndi is very sheer, but along the same tones. Girl About Town is a fuschia. Legende is thrown in there since I have nothing similar to this cool toned rose.


Here are the closest colors I have to Bikini Peach. Frankly Fresh and VGV are much more brown. I am happy to report that I have nothing quite similar to Bikini Peach.


And my sister Naomi will like this picture. I just have on a light dusting of In Love and the glossimer :

Tips and Toes

I was lusting after swatches of new spring polishes recently, so I decided to head to my handy dandy stash of nail polish. NARS Versailles is a frosty golden polish. I thought I might have something similar. OPI Kiss The Bride is a peachy champagne that is similar enough to fill the want.


And toes ahead warning! I have loved the pictures of Chanel Nouvelle Vague. It is similar to China Glaze For Audrey which I already own. I added a shimmery top coat for fun.

It has been a tough week for the family. We lost a newborn baby calf on Monday (yes my husband keeps cows). Then yesterday our dog was hit by a car and killed. Zoey was our two year old German Shepherd, and she will be greatly missed.

I Love Eyeliner

I really love crazy winged eyeliner. I have worn liner since I was about fifteen, and I feel naked without my wing. Here are some inspiration pictures I plan on copying in the near future.

Sleek Storm and Bohemian Palettes: Swatches and Review

I am happy I was finally able to try Sleek palettes! I have heard a lot about them, but they were only available in the UK. Now Sleek has a website and they ship to the US. I got the classic Storm palette and new Bohemian palette.

Overall I am very pleased with these palettes. They offer a nice range of neutral and fun colors for a great price! The Sleek website has them for $10 a piece. The colors are smooth, vibrant and pigmented with the exception of one or two from each palette. A bit of fallout when blending, but great quality shadows. Try a couple if you are in the mood for a new look!
